Greatest Hits...

1. Born to Run – from the Born to Run album – This was Springsteen's first hit song and it is a lot more up-tempo than his later stuff.

2. Dancing in the Dark – from the Born in the USA album. This was his biggest ever single and had a classic video with a very young Courteney Cox. There’s a classic SNL sketch where Adam Sandler does the song with Courtney.

3. Born in the USA – This song has always been the perfect irony, in that every American thinks it is a patriotic and proud anthem, when the lyrics are in-fact the complete opposite.

4. Secret Garden – from the Jerry Maguire soundtrack - This originally song came out with his Greatest Hits album but did not get truly discovered until it was featured in Jerry Maguire.

5. Streets of Philadelphia – from the Philadelphia soundtrack. An Academy Award and Grammy-winning song – and deservedly so. This represents the latter half of Bruce’s career perfectly.

6. Glory Days – Another one of the seven hits from Springsteen's mega-album. Everyone has met that ex-highschool jock that is still reliving those early days. No one can portray it better than Bruce in this song.

7. Brilliant Disguise – This song is about a man who losing touch with his wife and feeling that she doesn’t even know him.

8. I’m on Fire – This song is an early indication of what you can expect to hear from Bruce in later years. It’s one of those songs that you can relate to and can stir you up at any time. It is also a tribute to the 9/11 lives that were sacrificed trying to save others.

9. Thunder Road – He has opened hundreds of concerts with this timeless classic. Thunder Road can truely be considers as one of the top 10 rocks songs ever. Classic American tale full of romance, hope, and possibilities... one of the greatest and most thoughtful rock and roll songs of all-time.

10. The Wrestler – This is another brilliant and stirring soundtrack for movie The Wrestler. Mickey Rourke called in a favor and asked for a song – Bruce wrote it in a few minutes. It’s his bread and butter.

being "the future of rock 'n' roll" in a concert review from 1974. His fame and popularity grew to stratospheric proportions following the release of Born in the U.S.A. in 1984.
